Post Christmas Update

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a very merry Christmas this year and enjoyed your time off. It seems like we just got off work and now it's time to head back. :-( I always hate this part and the part putting all the decorations back up. Plus, every year I have even more to add to the decorations because I always go shopping with mom, Kim and my cousin to hit all the "After Christmas Sales". I will add I was a little irritated with them this year because I had to hit Target with no backup. I even called Kim and yelled HELP into the phone. I was able to actually get everything I wanted, but since mom's house burned, she's having to start all over and I had to get stuff for her too. Here I am with one shopping cart, a boxed snowman and buck, wrapping paper hanging on one side, small reindeer jammed in on the other, a basket with other stuff packed underneath, two wreaths, boxed lights and a nutcracker sitting in the child seat. On top of that, I had a little altercation with this lady claiming that I took the last buck. Sorry, I got there first. I told the cashier two times that it wasn't all mine. I got everything I went for, plus more, so that's all that matters. I had to tell the story in case my mom and sister didn't hear it enough. I'm just making sure they knew what I went through. :-)

More exciting news! Eric and Laura are now engaged!! Yay!! We are SO happy for them. I don't know of two people more perfect for each other. We can't wait for the wedding! I'm ending the post with some pictures from Christmas. Also, check out the picture of us with max from 2005 to now!

Update on the Beckhams

Now that Halloween has come and gone, it's time to get ready for Christmas! I love decorating for any holiday but Christmas is definitely my favorite. I've already started decorating on the inside and plan to start this weekend on the outside. I'll post pictures once I have everything complete. I know it's early, and I know my neighbors will probably think I'm crazy, but this way I can enjoy it a lot longer. I have so much Christmas stuff and it takes such a long time to get it unpacked and set up. As you can see in the pictures, Max doesn't mind being decorated either. We don't think there's anything he won't let us do to him.

My favorite season is here!

First of all, I want to begin this blog by thanking all of you who have kept my mom and family in your prayers. Your generosity and support is very much appreciated. Although this still seems like a horrible nightmare, mom is getting better each day.

Now on a different note, fall is my absolute favorite season! The weather is perfect, leaves are beautiful and football is in full force. What more could you ask for? I love getting ready for Halloween too! I just bought Max a bumblebee costume this weekend and I love it! I picked a bumblebee because Max LOVES to chase them. I told him he can now pretend to be one. He actually doesn't mind wearing it either. I believe Tray was more upset about it. He wanted him to be a pirate and I honestly tried to find one in his size. The bumblebee outfit was the only one left to fit 50-55lbs, so bumblebee it is. As you can see, I have attached his CUTE pictures! He even fell asleep with it on. I also attached pictures of him with Justin (nephew). For some reason he just wanted to be right with him that night and it was so sweet!

I finally have a website and I'm so excited! As many of you know, this is something I've been wanting to get set up for along time. I'm very pleased with the whole layout and features. You can check it out by clicking on the title. Now that I have my own website, I guess I will be using the blog for personal use and updates from the biz. I'm typically the last one to jump on board when it comes to stuff like this. Although I can't believe Tray (my husband) actually beat me to it! I think he just uses his to brag on Bama and bash Auburn.

Those of you who do not know us that well, my husband and I are big sport fans. However, we are a "divided home" when it comes to Alabama and Auburn football. But we pretty much love any sport. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with us both playing so many sports growing up. I mean, come on, our first date consisted of us going to a SMC high school basketball game and then to a movie to see Miracle (hockey movie). I'm sure for many, that's not very practical, but for me it was perfect! We're also very competitive with each other. It doesn't matter if we're playing tennis or Guitar Hero, we both get mad if the other one wins.

So...now that I've updated everyone on my husband, I'm going to end this post with a little info about Max. To us, Max is our son. We brag on him like any parent would brag on their child. Max is a golden retriever mix that Tray found just two days before Christmas three years ago this year. He's so sweet and is such a big baby. When he wants to play he goes to his daddy. When he doesn't feel good he comes to me and wants me to hold him. You can see how pretty he is in his picture to the right. I apologize for the long post. I just wanted to give an introduction of our family and what to expect for future posts (in case you cared). I have to go check on Max now. He's been eating grass all night and doesn't feel well.
